Hello Chess Families!

First off, Congratulations to the team that placed 4^th in the Chess For Success State Championships last Friday.  This was Metzger’s first appearance in the CFS State Team Competition and 4^th out of 40 teams is a remarkable accomplishment. 

There are some big events still on the schedule.  If your player has already qualified for the Individual State Championships in Seaside please register as soon as possible at www.oscf.org.

Team Takes 4th at CFS State Championships

These players did an amazing job Saturday.  3.5 points out of 5!  We were right there in the hunt all day and I couldn't be more proud of this group of boys.  They represented our school with honor, respect, and pride.  They played like a team should play.  They were there for each other and overcame some tough competition.

Congrats Guys - Elias Erickson, Lawson Dietz, Michael O'Neal, Hunter Dietz, and Ethan McCleland.

I can't say enough how proud I am of you guys.  Your the best team I could ask for and I wouldn't choose any other group to be a part of then this group.  You played like Champions today!
